Lord Archer

Well guys, I am starting my blogging career with my views on my favourite author Jeffrey H. Archer. In his own words, “There are two types of people in this life my friend those who can tell a story and those who don’t”. No need to comment on his type. To begin about this man, he has been in the British parliament and he has been in a British prison, he is 70, and there is nothing stopping him.

Those who have been lucky to enjoy his works might agree with the coming lines and for the unlucky ones, my effort might help them to attain what they are loosing in the wonderful world of reading. What places Archer miles ahead of his contemporaries is his sumptuous plots. Sheer hard work in research is reflected, be it Adam Scott’s exhilarating journey through Europe in ‘A Matter of Honour’ or the life stories of separated twins in ‘The Sons of Fortune’ or the tale of charismatic ‘Kane and Abel’ ….. the list is long. (Actually Archer ha written 15 novels (fiction), 3 vols of a prison diary, 6 collection of short stories and 3 plays). You can’t help yourselves but to turn the pages until the very end.

The Archer’s novels that I had read are Prisoner of Birth, A Matter of Honour, Kane and Abel, Sons of Fortune, Shall We Tell the President, Not a Penny More Not a Penny Less and First Among Equals. Anyone tasting Archer for the first time; I would advice to proceed in the above order. Actually I thought I could fill pages if I write about this great novelist and may be I could, but the fact of the matter is, the euphoria experienced on reading his wonderful works can hardly be verbalize.
